Additionally, the Region of Murcia has four public language schools that offer training in foreign languages. This is no surprise, especially considering that our region has many tourists from Great Britain, France, Germany and the United States visiting Murcia each year. These two factors combined promote the use of foreign languages in our region.

Murcia also has four international schools that offer bilingual education programs for students from 2 to 18 years of age: Lycée Français, inaugurated in Murcia city in 1983, “El Limonar”, built in the mid 80s, “Castelar”, located in the coastal town of San Pedro del Pinatar, as well as King’s College, recently opened in the Torre Pacheco district.

“El Limonar”, which currently has an enrollment of 262 students, offers programs that are accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Education, the Middle State Association of Colleges and Schools and The International Commission, and also enjoys Trans-regional Accreditation.

The Lycée Français offers instruction which is accredited by both the French and the Spanish Ministry of Education to 631 students.

“Castelar” School is staffed with teachers who deliver training in English, except in the subjects of Spanish and Science. This modern school is located in a popular coastal town of our region.

As for King’s College, it follows the National Curriculum for England and Wales. This  college has an excellent reputation not only in Spain and Europe, but also in the rest of the world, because of the excellent education given to the students.
