The growth in the supply and demand of industrial land has been spectacular and the situation has evolved from one of disperse locations throughout the region to one of concentrated industrial spaces in urbanized or improved areas which provide a wide range of equipment and are well-linked to major transportation systems.

These changes in business location have set a new scene in which private professional promoters are playing a major role, both as regards land and industrial buildings. Many city governments, understanding that the promotion of high-quality industrial land is an excellent economic-development tool, have created municipal associations for just this purpose. Another important resource is the continuous activity of municipal organizations in several local townships, performed through SEPES (Region of Murcia Public Corporate Land Entity) and the recently created Public Land Agency, whose most important function is to create affordable spaces where new businesses can set up their facilities.
